WA: Man takes legal action after job loss following police raid

PERTH, Jan 10 AAP - A man is taking legal action against a company which declined tohire him after his home was raided in a hunt for suspected terrorists.

The home of Indonesian-born Muslim David Suparta was raided on October 30 last yearby heavily armed police and ASIO agents.

They were investigating the possible presence of the Jemaah Islamiah organisation inAustralia following the Bali bombings.

Mr Suparta was a trainee bus driver with Perth's Swan Transit bus company at the timebut the company allegedly decided not to employ him over media coverage …
